In Miami, winter isn't just an acceptable time to do drywall work. It's the best time, and the reason has nothing to do with temperature. Dry season runs roughly November through April, and lower humidity means joint compound actually cures instead of sitting soft under a skinned-over surface. A repair that takes three days in January can take four or five in August. It's also the natural window for fixing what hurricane season left behind, once the wall cavity is genuinely dry.
