"Salt air is hard on buildings. Fixtures pit, frames rust, and replacements come sooner than planned.
A few material choices that hold up better on coastal and beachfront projects:
316 stainless steel for fixtures near pools or sea spray. It contains molybdenum, which gives it better resistance to chlorides than standard 304.
Aluminium frames instead of plain carbon steel, thanks to a protective oxide layer.
Fibreglass for items like umbrella poles that would otherwise rust through.
The cheapest option on day one is not always the cheapest over five years. Tell us your site and we will help you source materials built for it.
