Miami International Airport’s South Terminal Expansion is officially underway—advancing one of the first major projects within MIA’s $12B Capital Improvement Program.

The Lemartec-NV2A JV is proud to serve as Design-Builder of Concourse K, a $600M expansion, which will deliver six new gates to modernize operations and expand capacity at MIA—supporting continued growth across one of the nation’s busiest airports.

Our team is fully mobilized, bringing together professionals with deep experience from prior South and North Terminal developments—ensuring continuity, expertise, and a strong understanding of MIA’s operational environment.

Design packages are nearing completion, and field activities are accelerating, including demolition, enabling works, Phase 1 of the Cruise Bus Terminal, and the Ground Services Facility.

Construction Safety Week may be coming to a close, but the commitment behind it continues every day across our projects.

At both the Cruise Terminal G Complex at PortMiami and the South Terminal Expansion East (New Concourse K) at MIA, our Lemartec–NV2A JV teams took time this week to reinforce what matters most—looking out for one another. From on-site safety talks and live demonstrations to shared meals that strengthen team connection, these moments reflect a culture where safety is not just a priority, but a shared responsibility.

As NV2A’s Safety Director, Jose Bobadilla, puts it: “Safety Always means it is a core value woven into every activity, every decision, every task—regardless of pressures or demands. Safety is embedded in all of our practices. Safety first, second, third—always.”

NV2A was proud to attend this year’s State of the Ports, hosted by World Trade Center Miami—bringing together the leaders shaping the future of our region’s infrastructure and economy.

With remarks from Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, COO Jimmy Morales, PortMiami Director Hydi Webb, and Miami International Airport Director Ralph Cutié, the program underscored the scale, momentum, and continued investment across our key gateways.

Beyond the stage, the value of the day was in the connections. We were glad to spend time with our design partners, industry collaborators, and public sector leaders—reinforcing the relationships that make complex, large-scale projects possible.

Delivering ahead of schedule and with purpose. Parking Garage 13 at Baptist Health topped out on January 20th, completing the precast structure three weeks early.

Designed to accommodate over 1,000 vehicles across six levels, the garage is a vital component of the Al and Jane Nahmad Women’s Cancer Center expansion — enhancing access for patients, visitors, and caregivers.

With one precast panel delivered per truck due to its scale and weight, precision sequencing was critical. Completion of the structure has advanced MEP rough-ins, cast-in-place ramp walls, and topping slabs, keeping momentum strong across the campus.

Construction of the Women’s Cancer Center continues to progress, with interior framing nearing completion, curtain wall installation underway, and major infrastructure work finalized within the public right-of-way.
