The monument on the Brickell Avenue Bridge in Miami was created by the Cuban sculptor Manuel Carbonell in 1995. [1]
The 53-foot bronze installation is titled The Pillar of History and the Tequesta Family. It features a 36-foot bas-relief column depicting the history of the Tequesta Indians and is topped by a 17-foot sculpture of a Tequesta family. [1, 2]
