This year marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and to commemorate this milestone, we will be hosting a 3-day celebration.

Join us on Thursday evening for the 3rd annual Liberty Dinner with keynote speaker Major Travis Kirkland USAF training instructor and fighter pilot. There will be a Stake dinner, silent auctions, beer garden and a display of commemorative quilts. The doors open at 4:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. Make sure to be there.

Friday, July 3, 2026, will see the return of the Olde Towne Faire. This event will start at 4:00 p.m. and run through 10:00 p.m. There will be food vendors, hand craft artisans selling their handmade goods, demonstrators, music and free rides (climbing wall and zipline).

Saturday, July 4th will be the annual Independence Day Parade and Salsa Contest. Parade starts at 8:00 a.m. with the salsa contest starting at the conclusion of the parade. There will also be free hot dogs and hamburgers for those in attendance.

These events are hosted by the Gila County Public Safety Memorial Association, Rural Heating and Air, the Town of Miami, with additional funding provided by Resolution Copper Company.

Gila County Public Safety Memorial Association is excited to announce that we have tickets on sale for the 3rd Annual Liberty Dinner which will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Bullion Plaza Community Center (Gym) 150 Plaza Circle, Miami, AZ 85539.

Last year the tickets sold out quickly, so we wanted to start early. This year we have 200 tickets available so more will be able to attend. You can purchase your tickets at https://LIBERTYDINNER2026.eventbrite.com. If you’re not an online purchaser, you can contact Jodi Brewster 623-810-9780 to buy your ticket(s) with cash or check, $50.00 per ticket.

This year’s Steak Dinner will feature guest speaker “Major Travis Kirkland, United States Air Force Academy graduate, and F35 fighter pilot” and other notable guests.

Doors open at 4:00 PM with open cash bar. Program begins at 6:00 pm. We will have door prizes and raffles. Funds raised will benefit the work of the Gila County Public Safety Memorial Association.
