What started as an idea became a team.

Over the years, new perspectives, expertise, and ideas have shaped not only our projects, but the way we work together.

IDB has grown, but the vision behind it remains the same.

Villa 1000 I In Progress

Windows are in, interior spaces are defined, and the façade is beginning to reveal its final composition.

What began on paper is now realized on site.

IDB 101 | From the desk

What you see isn’t always the full story.

Before making an offer, there’s more to understand about a property: existing violations, hidden issues, approvals, and what may require additional time and costs.

Understanding those conditions early can make all the difference in how a project moves forward.

There's no real checklist for designing your home, just one call, and a team ready to take it from there.

Happy birthday to the founder, boss, leader, mother, wife, and so many more roles… but most importantly, to the incredible woman behind IDB.

A truly special person and an inspiring leader who leads with vision, heart, purpose, and the highest standards. We get to see the many sides of you every day - the drive, determination, and passion, but also the kindness, generosity, and heart behind it all.

You’ve built more than a company. You’ve built a team and a culture where people are encouraged to grow, dream bigger, and believe in what they’re capable of.

We’re grateful for everything you bring to IDB, but even more grateful for the person you are beyond the title.

Happy birthday, Iselle. 🤍

Welcome to our studio |

What started with just three people in this Coconut Grove office has grown into the full IDB studio a place we wanted to feel like home, for us and for our team.

Through the Founder’s Lens | Part I

Understanding how a family lives always comes before any design decision.

Not the style they picture, but the mornings they keep, the meals they share, how they want to feel in their own home.

That's where every IDB project begins.

Site Notes |

Villa 1000 was approved by the Town of Surfside Planning & Zoning Board.

This larger home was carefully designed to reduce its massing and impact on the neighborhood. Through the integration of landscape, glass, and thoughtful transitions between the house and its surroundings, the design creates a more balanced relationship with the scale and character of the neighborhood.

Every decision in the process was made with the site and its context in mind.

Life Well Designed |

This month, Sophia started high school and Christian started middle school—small milestones that remind us how much life changes over the years, and how the spaces we call home change with it.
