You don’t get to work on a barn with nearly 200 years of history every day. We had the opportunity to help transform this one into a wedding venue while keeping its original character.

• Framed a new bathroom and utility closet, and built a custom staircase with storage underneath.
• Repurposed original barn wood into barn doors and staircase wall panels.
• Straightened uneven walls with new framing and installed woodgrain metal panels to complement the original oak.
• Finished the bathrooms with FRP paneling, installed new doors, and painted three interior and three exterior doors, with some fresh black paint.

A few modern updates, with plenty of history still on display.

When we’re not finishing new construction homes, we take on handyman projects and remodels as well! Here’s a look at three recent projects:

We replaced the old gold k***s and hinges on 25 doors with black hardware. A simple update that made a big difference.

At another home, we’re refreshing the walls and trim with new paint and replacing the carpet with LVP flooring.

The final photos show a broken attic ladder we replaced with a heavy-duty aluminum model.

A kit is only as good as the installation.

We assembled this Home Depot patio cover, anchored it to the concrete, secured it to the house, and installed custom-bent flashing behind the siding for a clean, watertight connection. Solid, sealed, and ready to enjoy!

Another look at this project, this time from the outside.

We finished the exposed porch posts and beams with Sherwin-Williams WoodScapes semi-transparent stain, giving them a deep reddish brown tone without obscuring the woods natural grain! The car-sided ceilings were also coated with polyurethane for added protection and longevity.

This one came a long way.

From bare concrete and unfinished drywall to an interior completely transformed. We installed the flooring, cabinets & countertops, interior doors, and trim throughout the home, along with the finishing details that brought everything together.

These photos were taken while we were wrapping up final cleanup and a few small details, but the difference speaks for itself.

Project update: Trim and doors have been installed, holes are filled, and the first coat of paint has been sprayed. We’re now touching up imperfections and doing a light sand before the final spray. Next up, we’ll be adding color to the walls and bringing this project across the finish line. Stay tuned for the final reveal!
