I’m not competing against another outfit my size.
I’m competing against the big box companies…the ones with a head for every department. They have dispatchers, sales teams, managers, service departments, install departments, warranty departments, office staff, and systems in place that are built to benefit them.
They have several faces of accountability.
I only have one.
Mine.
When something goes right, my name is attached to it. When something goes wrong, my name is attached to that too. When the phone rings, it usually comes back to me. When a customer has a question, concern, or problem, it comes back to me.
I don’t have a corporate office to hide behind. I don’t have a manager to pass the blame to. I don’t have another department to send you to.
So do you really think I’m going to mess that up?
I can’t afford to.
My reputation is my advertising. My workmanship is my calling card. My name is my warranty.
Big companies can lose a customer and barely feel it. A small business has to earn every customer, every review, every referral, and every bit of trust.
That’s why I take what I do seriously.
When you support a small local company, you’re not just another ticket number in a system. You’re dealing with the person whose name, reputation, and future are directly tied to the work being done.
And I don’t take that lightly.
