A few reminders to keep the new school season free of pests. Give backpacks, lunchboxes, and sports gear a quick check each week. Regularly wash backpacks to clear out crumbs or sticky spots that attract ants and roaches. Hot water and high heat from the dryer will kill any hidden hitchhikers such as bed bugs. Remind children not to share hats or personal items to help prevent lice. At home, keep food sealed, take out the trash often, and check doors and windows for gaps pests could slip through. A tidy, uncluttered space makes it easier to keep unwanted critters out and kids protected all year.

This homeowner was naturally alarmed at seeing this! She called DA to come out and install the Sentricon Termite Baiting System, which means these termites won’t be long for this world. (Video courtesy of DA technician Tray Crawford.)
