Today was one of those days that reminds us why investing in the next generation matters.
The J&S team had the privilege of volunteering at the Girls Construction Camp with Women Building America, and we left inspired.
Watching these young women build their toolboxes and planter boxes, connect with new friends, ask thoughtful questions, and engage with industry professionals was incredible.
The smiles, determination, and confidence we saw throughout the day was contagious!
What stood out most was seeing the girls realize they were capable of creating something with their own hands. You could see their excitement grow with every step of the project and every conversation with the speakers and volunteers.
Programs like this play an important role in workforce development by giving girls exposure to hands-on learning opportunities and introducing them to careers they may not have previously considered—including construction management, skilled trades, and leadership roles within our industry.
We are grateful to have been part of a day dedicated to encouraging, empowering, and investing in future builders. Thank you so very much to every sponsor, volunteer, and person that made this camp possible. The future is bright, and these young women are proof of that.
