Bart Buckalew loved Clearwater Beach, Florida. Many of his sunset pictures were taken there. He used to hang out at Sharky's on the beach (no longer there) and would get a free tab for taking photos for the bar, such as this one.

"Today we had Barts memorial and it was above and beyond nice.

My son Toby and daughter in law Brenda did a wonderful job in all they did to prepare and put it together. Both my adopted sons were present Brian & Chris who took the time with all they contributed to the day and sat to talk with me and reminisce of the years in Munich. Some of my friends and brother came. Some of Barts co- workers and friends were there also, which warmed my heart. They all made this occasion a beautiful experience and good memories for me to hold onto.

I cannot thank or give my appreciation, for all everyone did for this special day to bring me peace of mind and happiness. So it is with a deep, since Thank you to all. It was wonderful. :)"
