Nothing is square in here. You’ve got angled stringers,
tight corners and barely enough room to swing a screw gun.
Every sheet has to be measured and scribed to fit the slope, or the seams turn into a nightmare at finish time.

Being completely honest popcorn
removal isn’t my favorite to be honest
Luckily this one was easy to scrap hahahan ✅

1. We scrapped the top coat of the paint off as best as we could
Then applied a few coats of water with a hose and waited between coats.

2. Rescrewd the drywall and cut any visible cracks at a 45 degree angle and filled
Them with 5 minute hot mud

3. Gave all the seams and edges 2 coats with westpac white dot boxed mud

4. Sprayed the texted and knocked it down ✅

Day 2 of the $1,800 patio drywall build in Queen Creek, AZ
Installed the L metals gave them 2 coats with Westpac White-dot, gave all the seams and edges a light sand and move on to the 2nd coat. Followed by some Santa Fe texture using red line, a light sand and it’s ready for paint.

Day 1 of this $1,800 patio drywall build in Queen Creek, AZ Y
When doing outdoor patio ceilings, using 1/2” exterior board is crucial to withstand moisture and Arizona heat. The homeowner requested pink mesh tape, so we floated the seams wider for a seamless finish.
