The Hughes Family began in Mesa over sixty years ago, developing the extremely popular active adult communities of Apache Wells and Apache Country Club Estates now known as Arizona Golf Resort in Mesa. Thirty years later Mark Hughes followed in his parent’s footsteps by forming Hughes Development which later became MS Hughes Inc. Mark went on to build the four-award winning active adult communitie

s of Apache Wells II and Verde Groves in Mesa, Vistoso Village in Oro Valley, and Las Campanas Village in Green Valley. Since 2008 he transitioned into semi-custom home building, finishing out the communities of Mountain Whisper in Gold Canyon and The Village at South Mountain in Phoenix. Over a 30-year period Mark Hughes has built over 1300 homes, and won local and national awards. Hughes Construction now focuses on building quality custom homes. Our latest venture is building in the beautiful golf communities of Chaparral Pines and The Rim Club in Payson, AZ.
