Beautiful Wednesday morning for a heat pump swap out. Imagine that another 5 year old Lennox condenser coil with a leak! All that oil is a dead giveaway. Got the new one put in with a 10 year parts and 10 year labor warranty.

So, we’re doing a residential new construction job up in McCall and just called it in for rough-in inspection. Inspector just called me and said that he was impressed with all of our work! We talked for at least a half hour about how these companies go up there and do shoddy work because there’s no competition. They can charge whatever they want and do crap work because no one else is willing to do it. In the end, he said he hopes we get more business up there and stay true to doing good work…My smile still hasn’t left my face!

Sometimes they put a truss in your way and you just have to go with a custom drop can! I’m here to tell you that I have worked on these skills for 20+ years. Just because my prices are lower than other companies out there, doesn’t mean I don’t deserve what I make for the skills that I bring to the table. Don’t try to take advantage of the small businesses, because most of them probably have guys with more skills than those big business employees. If you’re looking for a better deal from a smaller company, just ask questions. Do you pull permit and have equipment inspection? (Yes) we do! Do you register and warranty equipment? (Yes) we do! It doesn’t matter how much you pay for a system, it will only be as good as the people who install it.

You can still be an heating and cooling business owner, make millions and still have ethics…. Just sayin!
