Warehouse Worker - Full-time (on-site)
Pay: $21.00–$25.00 per hour
Location: Torrington, Connecticut
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and every other Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Logan Steel is seeking a dependable Warehouse Worker to support daily warehouse operations and the Bargain Barn. This position combines material handling, order pulling, customer assistance, inventory restocking, equipment operation, and general warehouse organization. The successful candidate will work safely, communicate professionally, and help keep materials and customer orders moving efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities:
Pull, stage, and prepare customer and production orders accurately.
Complete Bargain Barn tasks and assist customers in locating and selecting materials.
Restock pans and other Bargain Barn inventory as needed.
Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the warehouse.
Operate a forklift, saw, shear, band saw, and drill properly and only as trained and authorized.
Measure, cut, drill, and prepare material according to work orders and customer requirements.
Keep warehouse aisles, storage areas, workstations, and the Bargain Barn clean and organized.
Inspect tools and equipment before use and report damage, unsafe conditions, or operating problems promptly.
Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
Provide courteous, helpful service to customers and communicate order questions to the appropriate supervisor.
Qualifications:
Warehouse, material-handling, metal-service-center, or customer-service experience is preferred.
Ability to read work orders, follow measurements, and complete tasks accurately.
Ability to operate warehouse and cutting equipment safely after required training and authorization.
Dependable attendance and availability for the stated weekday and alternating Saturday schedule.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
Physical Demands and Work Requirements:
Stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, push, pull, and handle materials.
Lift and move materials within established job limits, using team assistance or mechanical equipment when required.
Work around steel products, moving equipment, noise, dust, and changing warehouse temperatures.
Wear required personal protective equipment
and follow safe material-handling practices.
