Darren Brown Painting Russ Obrey has been in the painting industry for 40 years. He began with his father, then owned and ran "Obrey's Paint and Wallpaper" in Merced for 20 years.

After selling the store, he began painting again and has been at it as a contractor since 2009. Darren Brown, his right hand man, was with him for 15 years and helped on many of the projects shown in the Local Projects photo album on this page. We do Interior/Exterior painting (and commercial work), and as our motto says, "I will paint your house as my own!"

As of June 2018, Russ has retired from
