From ground level, this project feels like a series of comfortable outdoor spaces. From above, you can really appreciate how the central retaining wall organizes the entire design and creates balance across the patio.

There's something incredibly satisfying about clean geometry, strong lines, and a layout that feels intentional from every angle.

Every home has spaces with untapped potential.

In this case, an aging deck had reached the end of its useful life. The homeowners wanted something that felt more permanent, more functional, and more connected to the architecture of the home.

By replacing the structure with a custom paver terrace, we created an outdoor living space that feels open, welcoming, and built to endure Wisconsin's seasons for years to come.

The clean lines, durable materials, and timeless design allow the space to blend naturally with the home while providing a comfortable setting for everyday life and entertaining alike.

This might be one of the most peaceful projects we’ve ever built.

The goal wasn’t to create a massive entertaining space — it was to create a reason to slow down. A quiet place to sit beside the water, listen to the breeze, and enjoy the property in a completely different way.

We built this cedar pergola retreat around a pair of suspended swings resting on natural stone with soft flowing curves that feel connected to the shoreline and surrounding landscape.

Simple spaces like this often become the most used part of a property.

Not every outdoor project needs to be huge to completely change how a backyard feels.

For this space, the goal was simple: create a quiet destination the homeowners would actually use. A curved walkway leads into a circular terrace with a built-in seat wall — perfect for relaxing evenings, conversations with friends, or just enjoying the yard a little more often.

The flowing lines help soften the landscape naturally, while the herringbone detail and contrasting borders add just enough character to make the space feel timeless.

Not every great backyard transformation needs to be massive.

This homeowner had an aging wood deck and a patchy backyard that simply was not being used the way they hoped. The goal was to create a cleaner, more welcoming outdoor space that felt easier to enjoy and more connected to the home.

We replaced the old deck with a professionally installed paver patio, softened the layout with curved lines, and added a fire feature to create a natural gathering space for quiet evenings outdoors.

Simple changes. Better flow. A completely different feeling the moment you step outside.

Big transformations usually start with a mess.

Today was demolition day as we removed an aging deck to make way for a completely reimagined outdoor living space. New patio, upgraded entertaining areas, better flow, and a backyard designed to be used for years to come.

A lot of people only see the finished photos, but every great project starts with solid preparation and a clear plan.

This project was designed to feel intentional from every angle.

The circular brick feature creates a strong focal point while the surrounding herringbone walkways and retaining wall system help the entire space flow naturally into the existing property. We also rebuilt the elevation transition to the upper yard with natural stone steps and carefully tied the new wall system into the existing structure for a seamless finished appearance.

Projects like this are about more than installing pavers — they’re about creating outdoor spaces that feel like they’ve always belonged there.

No crew. No systems. No real idea what I was doing… just a vision and a willingness to figure it out.

I remember laying these pavers thinking,
“This is it.”

There’s something about taking raw ground and turning it into a space people actually live in…
That hooked me immediately.

Looking back, it wasn’t perfect. But it was honest work. And it was the start of everything.

Crazy to think how far it’s come since then.

Every patio, every project, every lesson… it all traces back to this one.

This is where Palladium started. This is where I got obsessed.
—and I haven’t looked back since.
