We're currently experiencing a widespread outage in the Rock Falls - Durand area. We have reports of a dig-in and crews are working to repair the line now.

Well, it's the time of year when we start looking for the people we've lost track of. Some of them have moved on without a forwarding address. Others may have passed away. Some may even still be around, but neglected to cash a previous check, and our system has marked them invalid. In each case, we have some funds for them here.

If you have a curious mind and time on your hands, feel free to peruse the attached digital magazine. If you know someone on the list, feel free to let them know they should call us. I know I shouldn't have buried the lede, but we'd like to hear from the actual person we're looking for - or the executor of their estate. Not their old neighbor's cousin's schnauzer. If possible.

Man, it seems way too early to put this kind of information out. If you're currently installing or have plans to install a new electrical service this year, you have until October 1 to have everything in order to avoid post-construction season charges.

If you haven't talked to us yet about your potential new service, we'd encourage you to call sooner rather than later. The F-word (...frost...sheesh) is just around the corner!
