Super Excavators is a Heavy Civil company focused on delivering quality projects using the latest innovations and technologies in Tunneling, Microtunneling, Foundation work, Slip lining, and Open Cut Construction. As the Milwaukee Metropolitan area grew, so did Super Excavators. Growing into larger, tougher, deeper open cut utility projects as cities began to expand. Over the years Super had grown
a very good reputation for our quality of work. In the 1970’s and 1980’s Super Excavators performed small tunnels by hand mining or even small TBM’s. Bob Schraufnagel took over the business from Ray and continued to build the business expanding beyond the Wisconsin borders all the way to Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the early 1990’s the first large project was landed in Kenosha, WI. Jeff Weakly began a trend to build our tunneling business. Even though the deep tunnel work was now complete, there were still smaller projects to build in the Milwaukee vicinity. Super Excavators grew larger into the tunneling world job by job and continued on building our good reputation beyond just Wisconsin. We have now built tunnels across the entire United States from San Francisco to Delaware and Alabama to Chicago. We are performing large TBM projects up to 23 feet in diameter, Microtunnel Projects, Pilot Tube Microtunnels, and bored casings. Everyone at Super Excavators takes a great deal of pride in their work and this shows in our success and satisfaction of our customer base.
