This addition was a major part of the 89th Street transformation.

To make the home function better for modern living, we needed to create more space for both the kitchen and primary suite. The existing addition was torn down and replaced with a new first-floor kitchen and a second-floor primary suite, complete with two closets, a spacious bedroom, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanity.

Meet Madison, our newest Director of Neighborhood Relations. 🐾

She recently hit the neighborhood to help deliver our “Pardon Our Dust” letters to the neighbors surrounding one of our projects.

Being a good neighbor is a big part of what we do. We want neighbors to know who’s working on the project, who to reach out to if an issue comes up, and that we’re here to be respectful of the neighborhood throughout the process.

It’s a small step, but an important part of the boutique-level service we bring to every project!

We’re proud to see our historic Wauwatosa project featured in MKE Lifestyle’s latest issue.

For us, thoughtful remodeling means more than updating a home for modern living. It means respecting the architecture, character, and history that make a home, and the neighborhood around it, special. This project was an opportunity to preserve the spirit of a 1920s home while thoughtfully improving how it functions for the family who lives there today.

When done well, restoration can add long-term value not only to a home, but to the character and continuity of an entire neighborhood. The finished home feels updated and functional, while still looking and feeling like it belongs exactly where it is.

What we appreciate most about being part of Alair Homes is that we're a local business backed by an incredible network of people and resources. Here in Milwaukee, our team serves clients just like any local builder would, but behind us is a much larger organization providing support in areas like accounting, marketing, technology, operations, and shared expertise from builders across North America.
