While Polk County is not currently under a burn ban, the combination of high winds and low humidity has created a dangerous situation. Our county RVFDs have been responding to several fires lately that escalated very quickly. Everyone is encouraged to hold off all burning until conditions improve. Please feel free to share this post and help spread the word.

These guys did a super job on this pre-commercial thinning project. They took out all of the unwanted trees in between the rows so that the other trees would have room to grow.

This is the new hardwood delimbinator out on the site of 2020 Loggin’ (aka Angel Soft Logging) They are getting this rough hardwood cleaned up nice! Hopefully this will make some fine toilet paper during these challenging times!!!
