"The Tennessee Extension Master Gardener program seeks to improve the lives of Tennesseans by promoting environmental stewardship, non-commercial food production, and human health and well-being through horticulture education and outreach delivered by a dedicated and skilled volunteer network.β
The Master Gardener Program is offered by The University of Tennessee Extension. This is only possible through the training and utilization of volunteers, known as Master Gardeners. The Memphis Area Master Gardeners (MAMG) provide services to Shelby County under the supervision of the University of Tennessee Shelby County Extension Service.
