Moscon Family Lake Day 2026⛵️

In 2023 I met Lisa and her beautiful family and together we ventured out on their boat to capture them doing what they do all summer long–spend the day on the lake, and this year they wanted to do it all over again, so we did!🥳

Swipe to see some favs from this years session and a few from 2023’s session🥹

Nola and Ella❤️

Nola and Ella have known each other for over 4 years, but only recently confessed their love to each other and started dating. On a trip back to Memphis from college to meet the rents, they wanted to take photos to capture this season of life, so that’s exactly what we did one hot morning earlier this month Memphis Botanic Garden. Aren’t they, their story, and these photos just the cutest?!🥹😍

2023💛

Everything was warm in 2023, and exactly how I always wanted life to be. Luna and Albus were with me daily. I lived alone and had my very own in home art studio, and with that came so much more freedom and flexibility and expansion. It was a year of new beginnings.🥹

I learned how to do my makeup in 2023. I created so many of my favorite (to this day) pieces of art in 2023 (and so much of it you haven’t seeeeeen😱–time to bring back TBT I think)! It was the year of grain. And the year I painted my first (& second) murals. Memphis Girls Book Club started! I was flown to Greece to photograph a creative retreat, and got to swing by London on my way home and see my favorite painting in the world for the first time since 2017, and fulfill a promise I made to myself when I started my business in 2020.😭🌻🖼️ I went on lots of trips (including essentially driving from San Antonio, Texas to Aberdeen, South Dakota and back to Memphis in like 2 days (a story for another day😂). I launched The Awakening Collection. I discovered I liked Taylor Swift at the end of 2022 and became a Swiftie in 2023💜 I started working through my emotions and childhood trauma a bit. And I played ssooo much.📸

In 2023 I was happy. I had everything I wanted and things were moving right along in the direction I always wanted. I already know what happened in 2024 and 2025, so it’s bittersweet seeing 2023 and my life before everything changed, but I’m grateful for this joyous year and who I was at 26/27.🩷

2022💛

2022 was big & beautiful in so many ways just like 2021! On Valentine’s Day I launched my new business name, logos, colors, website, etc, & from there I feel like really started rockin & rollin with things in my business & life🥹

Other important & noteworthy things for me from 2022:
1. I started living by myself (no more roommates), & Luna & Albus were finally able to join me🩷
2. I photographed & was a bridesmaid in my best friend’s wedding–forever one of the greatest honors of my life!😭
3. My mom & I went on our first mom/daughter trip! We spent a week exploring Arizona & it was absolutely epic🌵🎞️
4. 2022 was the year of my favorite sweater ever (iykyk)😂🩷
5. My bestie & I went on a trip to Chicago, & she sat with our luggage for hours before our flight home so that I could go to the Art Institute (they weren’t doing coat check at the time)😭 If that’s not friendship and love, nothing is!🖼️
6. I hosted my first styled shoot technically!! You guys remember Bloom, right?💐
7. I did a giant, ridiculous Erica photoshoot for my second business birthday, & another one in the sunflowers, & these are still two of my favorite shoots🌻
8. I photographed tons of weddings & sessions, & did videography & content creation for my first weddings!📹📱
9. My mom & I did a pottery class & it was literally the most funny thing we’ve EVER done🤣
10. I discovered Jack Harlow & flew from Texas to Nashville to see him in concert, & then drove all the way back to Memphis through the night after the show.🎶
11. I finally set up my own in home studio! The day I turned my second bedroom into my studio was such a huge life & career win!😍
12. My best friend pulled off the ultimate surprise by visiting Memphis & scaring the crap out of me on my doorstep at like midnight when I was coming home from the longest day ever🤣
13. Touring Belmont with my little sister!!🥹

There are so many other noteworthy & amazing things that happened in 2022, & some hard and annoying stuff too as always, but all in all looking back it was so beautiful & magical & fun and I’m so grateful for all that I did at just 25/26 years old!🥹🩷

2021💛

Looking back on 2021 I saw a lot of really beautiful things that happened in my life. In 2021 I was 24 for most of the year, and turned 25 towards the end. This is the year I went full-time with my business (only a little more than a year in), rebranded my business (hello Erica Haskett Studio, goodbye Erica Haskett Fine Art), setup my first little art studio (in my mom’s spare bedroom with Luna and Albus’s help), discovered creative portraits and started shooting those along with weddings (and even booked my first + many more of both of those!!), went to New York City and Disney for the first time, witnessed and captured my best friend get engaged, had a few successful and unsuccessful art shows (that’s just how those things go), sold my art around town and online, went on so many trips (this was definitely the year my travel bug fully kicked in), spent $300 on 3 teeny tiny tubes of YinMn blue paint (the newest color in the world!!), bought myself a new laptop, and just all around had a pretty good year it seems like based on my camera roll, which would have been the first solid year in a long time to be honest. 2021 certainly wasn’t without it’s struggles and heartbreaks, but it was the first year I wasn’t completely gripped and occupied with a lot of heavy, toxic family and work things, and could really go all in on me and my dreams by the end of it, which is so beautiful to be able to look back and see.✨

Other things I noticed about 2021 when going back through my camera roll–2021 it was the year of filters (why did I pick such a dark one, and why did I put it on eeeeeverything?!), boomerangs were poppin, horizontal videos were in, my editing style was awful (so glad I figured that out, and that people booked me when I was doing weird things!), and clearly I had no idea what I was doing fashion wise post covid, but ya know, we grew through those things!😂2021 Erica-thank you for all that you did. You hoped it would get you where you are now, and you’re here and it did. I’m proud of you for chasing your dreams despite everything.😭🩷

Jade turned twenty-one a few days ago and had a specific vision she wanted to bring to life to commemorate the occasion, so when she found me and all of my colorful creative portraits, she knew I was the photographer for her, and she traveled to Memphis from Arkansas just to have me capture these! Isn’t that so craaazy and cool?! Happy 21st Jade!🥹🔮✨
