Look at the new Fire Station #5!

We had the pleasure of working with the Fire Department, Fleming Architects, and Zellner Construction to provide our community with a much-needed, centralized Fire Station. The project includes 10 sleeping bunks, a full-service kitchen, day room, watch desk, fitness room, conference room and an apparatus bay for fire trucks. It was important that this project blended with the historical neighborhood aesthetic while also providing visual interest and addressing the programmatic needs of a community fire station.

This 3,400 SF renovation will bring back to life a building, that once was a splash zone for hippos, and create a splash pad for Zoo visitors.

The interior of the space will be able to house gatherings of different sizes, as the event space partitions are moveable and can be hidden away. Three large roll-up glass doors will provide access to the splash pad from the event spaces and allow for natural light and views to flood the programs.

As we wrap up the year, we would like to introduce a project we have been working on in partnership with the Memphis Zoo. The former Hippo Enclosure will become a new event space to host fun, family-oriented events. #901

Home to the University of Memphis Tigers and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl since its opening in 1965, and the Southern Heritage Classic since 1990, this is a landmark to the city and is the center point of the Fairgrounds. Project included Renovated Suites, Press Boxes, Premium Seating in the Bowl and Home Locker Room This renovation allowed for the implementation of technology and materials that can service a wide variety of event programs. Multipurpose use and optimization are the main focuses of this project. The ability to meet the needs of the staff along with day to day requirements of its occupants creates a space that pays homage to the culture of the site and leaves the user with an experiential journey from threshold to threshold.
