It’s been awhile since I’ve posted new furniture! The last few pieces were custom pieces that I forgot to stage/photograph before they got picked up.

But here these are. They’re from pottery barn originally. Solid wood. Possibly mahogany? And they could be yours for $525.

Veneer never fully recovers from being painted.

Countless coats of stripper still couldn’t lift all the stubborn bits of paint. And sanding veneer without ruining it is tricky. So if you’re looking for a slightly blemished set of MCM dressers at a highly discounted rate, look no further.

Bassett dresser and chest with mirror. These mid century modern pieces are very sturdy and well built with solid wood and dovetailed drawers. Hardware has been updated but I have the original hardware if you want it. Drawers all work.

The dressers were painted when I bought them. I used several coats of stripper, but there were a few stubborn patches where the paint was stuck deep in the wood grain. Because of that, the stain looks a bit patchy on a few sections ad you can see in the video and in the photos. The price reflects these blemishes.

These two dressers have been primed, painted with a deep navy blue, and finished with polycrylic for added durability. Copper toned drawer pulls really shine against the deep blue hue of the drawers. Natural wood trim at the bottom and natural wooden legs provide a refreshing and stark contrast against the dark body of the dresser. Both pieces are smoke free. They are very sturdy and heavy, but they are not solid wood. All drawers slide easily. The door on the low dresser swings open on its own occasionally, but lifting up while closing it rectifies this issue.
