Stones are often used to mark the location of property corners. These monuments can be very important to accurately surveying your property or the properties in your area. If you see a stone on your property that looks odd or stands out, it may just be a stone placed by a surveyor to mark a property corner. Most often, these stones will be vertical and/or set in a mound of stones. Here is a singular stone we found today that was referenced by a survey in 1983.
