“Serve one another humbly in love.”
Galatians 5:13 (NIV)

This verse is a simple one, but such a good reminder.

It’s easy to think serving others has to be something big. But most of the time, it’s found in the little things. Showing up for someone. Being patient. Lending a hand. Listening. Choosing kindness when no one is watching.

We all have people placed in front of us every day, and we have the opportunity to love and serve them well.

That’s something we want to keep growing in at Hilltop, not just in the work we do, but in the way we treat people along the way.

So this Faithful Friday, our little reminder to ourselves and anyone who needs it: look for the person in front of you and find a way to serve them well.

Have a blessed Friday, friends.

In this video, Dylan walks through a few things we look for during a roof inspection and explains why the little details can matter when it comes to protecting your home.

You don’t have to know everything about your roof. That’s our job. Our goal is to help you understand what we’re seeing, answer your questions, and give you honest information so you can make the best decision for your home.

Have a roofing question? We’re always happy to help. 🩵

Faithful Friday

Building on the Rock

Matthew 7:24–25 (ESV)
"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock."

Life has a way of bringing storms when we least expect them. Some are big and life changing. Others are quiet battles that only God knows about. No matter what they look like, we all face them.

In these verses, Jesus does not say we will avoid the storms. He tells us they will come. What matters is the foundation we have before they arrive.

When we build our lives on Jesus by hearing His words and putting them into practice each day, we have something that cannot be shaken. It does not mean life will be easy, but it does mean we never have to face it alone. His love is steady. His promises are true. His faithfulness never changes.

As you head into the weekend, take a moment to ask yourself: What am I building my life on?

A thought to carry into the weekend,
"The strongest foundation we can ever have is trusting Jesus, one faithful step at a time."

No matter where you are in your faith journey, we're grateful you're here.

Thank you for letting us share the hope we have in Christ with you today. We hope God's Word encourages you as you head into the weekend.

From our Hilltop Roofing family to yours, we pray you have a peaceful, restful, and blessed weekend.

Two days ago, we had the privilege of hearing from Audra Russell with Aflac. Not only is Audra a dear friend, but she is truly one of a kind- a warm, genuine soul who cares deeply for the people around her. 🥰

We loved learning about where she came from, the land she grew up on, and seeing the pride she has for her granddaughter and son, who proudly serves our nation. Audra, we can’t help but feel proud of him too, but we’re just as proud of you. 👏

Your story is inspiring, and we’re grateful to be surrounded by someone who embodies the truth that it’s never too late to start something new. Sometimes, all you have to do is simply… start. 📝

A roof leak doesn't always mean it's time for a new roof.

Sometimes the problem is as simple as a pipe boot that wasn't installed correctly.
In this video, Tyler walks through a leak we found in a home that was only about 10 years old. The issue wasn't the age of the roof. It was a shortcut taken during installation.

A few things to remember:
• Newer doesn't always mean properly installed.
• Small details like pipe flashing play a big role in keeping water out.
• Regular roof inspections can help catch small problems before they become costly repairs.

We hope videos like this help homeowners better understand what to look for and what is happening on their roof. An informed homeowner is always in a better position to make good decisions.

From worn to weather ready. 🙌

Here’s a look at another project we completed a few weeks ago! This detached garage/shop had a roof that was ready for replacement and didn’t have any roof vents installed. Along with a new roofing system, we added proper ventilation to help improve airflow and the overall performance of the roof.

We love getting to bring these projects back to life and are so thankful for the homeowners who trust us.

Thanks for following along and letting us share what we’ve been working on! Have a blessed day. ☀️

Last week we wrapped up a full roof replacement out in Council, Idaho. 🏔️ You may have heard Tyler talking about it in his video 🎥, so we wanted to share the photos from the whole job. We picked three from each stage, before, during, and after, so you can see what the process really looks like.

Before: 🔍 Every roof starts with a real inspection. We get up there and check the decking underneath, the flashings, ventilation, and any soft spots. A roof that looks fine from the curb can be hiding real trouble, which is why we never quote a job without looking first.

During: 🔨 Once the old layers come off, the true condition shows itself. We replace any compromised decking, lay down proper underlayment, seal every flashing detail, and install the new system to spec. The details no one sees after we're done are the ones that decide how long this roof lasts.

After: ✨ A finished roof should look clean, sit square, and shed water the way it was designed to. We don't call a job done until the yard is cleaner than we found it and you understand what was done and why.

Every home we work on matters to us, and so does the family underneath it. 🤝 We're not here to chase the next job or talk anyone into something they don't need. We just want to be the kind of neighbor you can call when something doesn't look right up there. If your roof has been on your mind, or you've noticed a shingle out of place, give us a call. We'll come take a look, tell you honestly what we see, and help you figure out the best next step for your home. No pressure, no gimmicks. Just honest work from people who care. 🙏

Last week, we were out on a job in Council tackling a two-layer tear-off that shows exactly why skipping steps always catches up to you.

The issue? A metal roof had been installed directly over old shingles.

Without tearing the roof down to the bare wood, you can't lay down fresh, high-quality underlayment. Because that step was skipped, moisture got trapped, and we had to replace a massive amount of rotted decking.

A premium roof is only as good as the foundation beneath it. At Hilltop, we believe we are Built to Bless, which means doing the prep work right the first time so your home is genuinely protected for the long haul. 💪💪💪
