On Saturday, MSG was represented by Sam from our Rifle plant at the CRMCA Mixer Truck Driver’s Competition in Denver. A very fun, and tough course that showcases the obstacles drivers face each day. Navigating with only two inches of clearance on each side of the truck, parallel parking, reaction time for braking events, spotting defects on the daily walk around, and a written knowledge exam covering concrete, job sites, and batch plants are examples of what was scored. AND the crowd favorite of knocking over the most bowling pins with your chute - which Sam tied for first. 🙌🏼

It was a fun day for producers to come together. Sam had a friendly wager with a competitor. And it turns out Ethan will be wearing an MSG hat to Casey’s Carbondale plant this week … but did he really lose, getting to wear a much better hat?? 😁😂

We appreciate our drivers and all those in our industry that have the grit and talent to drive these specialized trucks safely.

Today is bittersweet. We say goodbye to Kim as she moves back to Texas. If you’ve placed an order with our company in the last four years, she has been the one that has taken your call or text. Kim oversaw our schedule that quadrupled in that timeframe, keeping us on time, and squeezing in last minute orders. We will miss her help with many aspects of the operation, but most of all, we will miss the love (and baked goods) she shared with the crew. ❤️

We could almost “chute” this one across the fence. 😂. Our neighbor in Rifle is making improvements next door. Made for a quick turn on trucks this morning on this 150 cubic yard slab.

Duties Include:
*Batch Plant Operation - Command Batch Automation
- Loading mixer trucks with multiple mixes, quality control at the plant, oversight of inventory of admixtures, aggregate and cementitious materials.
*Order, Truck, and Driver Scheduling - Command Cloud Dispatch & Trackit Operating Systems
- Working with sales and dispatch for order entry, handle customer requests, and oversee employee daily schedules.
*Plant & Truck Maintenance
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance. Work with shop foreman on annual inspections.

🔹Mixer Truck Operators (Class A or B CDL)
Duties Include:
*Safe Delivery of Ready Mix Concrete
- Main plant will be in Craig. On occasion you may work out of Meeker or Rifle plants as schedules demand, but rarely.
*Operate Aggregate Trucks
- Stockpile aggregates from local mines for the use in concrete or to jobsites as needed.

It’s Friday, friends! Here’s a few shots from the project at Wild Horse in New Castle. Infrastructure is going in to support a new housing development.

The finish line for Rides & Reggae may look a little different this year. The last photo is a throwback of Dan with his nieces and sons after finishing the Dirty Dozen race in 2022. This year, New Castle was named a Trail Town by the International Mountain Biking Association, one of only 28 in the nation. We love and support the New Castle Trails! Check them out!

That view! We appreciate being a part of Rifle's newest park. Thanks RodCo Concrete, Gould Const., and the City of Rifle!

Mother Nature has thrown a few curveballs at Gould Construction over the past few weeks, but crews have stayed busy around Birch Park pouring curbs and adding more sidewalks.

Birch Park’s main features will include a 9,500-square-foot ADA-compliant playground, pollinator gardens, a sledding hill, and more. The park in Rifle is scheduled to open this summer.
