GreenWeaver Landscapes Healthy Land, Beautiful Landscapes
Ecological landscape design, installation, and garden maintenance GreenWeaver Landscapes was born from that principle.

In 2008, Greg and Jennifer Nichols decided that it was time for landscape practices to give more back to the environment. Some of our standard landscape practices include installing native plants, designing to keep stormwater on site, and reducing fertilizer and chemical use. Did you know that a garden project can dry out a leaky basement? Before this renovation, stormwater was gathering along the side of the house.

Our design removed a fence and diverted the water into a rain garden. A stepping stone path provides access, while native plants help manage stormwater. The result is a beautiful and functional side yard, a dry basement, and habitat for local birds and pollinators.

Your backyard can be more than a beautiful place to relax. It can also be a thriving habitat for birds, bees, butterflies, beneficial insects, and other wildlife.

By choosing native plants, adding layers of trees, shrubs, perennials, and ground covers, avoiding chemical pesticides, and creating small habitat features like brush piles, water sources, and leaf-covered garden areas, you can help increase biodiversity right at home.

Even small changes can make a big difference. A pollinator patch, a bird-friendly corner, or replacing invasive plants with native species can support local wildlife while making your landscape more vibrant, resilient, and full of life.

One biodiverse yard matters. A neighborhood of biodiverse yards can create connected corridors that support migration, nesting, pollination, and survival.

Beautiful landscapes don’t have to mean constant upkeep.

A low-maintenance habitat garden works with nature instead of against it — using native plants, thoughtful design, and natural processes to create a property that is both beautiful and beneficial for wildlife.

By planting densely, choosing the right plants for the right place, mowing less, leaving the leaves, and allowing some areas to grow a little wilder, you can reduce maintenance while supporting pollinators, birds, insects, and other creatures that bring your garden to life.

The result? A healthier, more dynamic landscape that changes with the seasons, supports your local ecosystem, and gives you more time to actually enjoy your yard.

Rain gardens do more than add beauty to a landscape. They help manage stormwater, reduce runoff, support pollinators and wildlife, and protect our waterways by giving rain a place to slow down, soak in, and replenish the ground.

At the Newtown Edgmont Municipal Building, this rain garden was designed to work with the natural flow of water while adding full-season interest with native plants like asters, echinacea, goldenrod, mountain mint, viburnum, sedum, and rudbeckia.

For homeowners, rain gardens can also be a practical solution for soggy lawns, basement flooding, erosion, and problem areas where water tends to collect after a storm.

Thoughtful landscaping can be both beautiful and functional — supporting your property, your local ecosystem, and clean water for the community.

If stormwater is creating challenges on your property, GreenWeaver can help you create a solution that works with nature. 🌿

Ever wonder how GreenWeaver brings your dream landscape to life?

It all starts with you. Every piece of land has individual character, and every client has unique taste — so we listen carefully to understand your vision and the needs of your property.

From there, our design process unfolds step by step:
▪ A proposal is issued for your project design
▪ A preliminary concept is created for your review and discussion
▪ Revisions are made based on your feedback, leading to a final proposal
▪ Once the final proposal is made, the customer can approve the installation of your new landscape!
▪ After installation, we take it one step further. We offer a maintenance contract for the care of the newly installed landscape - ensuring success for the newly installed plants.

But we don't stop at aesthetics. From initial contact through project completion, we work in partnership with our clients, using an environmentally sensitive approach — managing stormwater, selecting sustainable materials, and protecting soils — all while creating beautiful landscapes.
Our goal? Landscapes that delight and inspire, connect people to the outdoors, and celebrate the natural world.
