Crabtree Rohrbaugh & Associates - Architects CRA was founded on a philosophy to provide a “Client- Oriented” approach to architectural design. This principle drives us today.

Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates was founded in 1984 on a simple principle: a client-oriented approach to architecture. Founders Tom Crabtree and Doug Rohrbaugh believe that there is a better way to provide architectural services: an approach that puts the client first. We work with our clients from day one to clearly understand their needs and goals. We believe that our clients know best what works for them. We provide our clients with appropriate, economical design solutions that encompass their vision for the project. Our “client-oriented approach” has allowed us to forge the repeat relationships we enjoy with our clients and contractors. This unique approach yields efficient, intelligently-designed structures that are often recognized for excellence by the American Institute of Architects—an honor we share with our clients.

Hard hats, site walks, and hands-on learning - - Our team recently toured the construction progress at Cumberland Valley School District’s Eagle View Middle School and Green Ridge Elementary School. Site visits like these give our staff the opportunity to see projects come to life, connect design with construction, and learn firsthand from the field.

Mentorship and continuous learning are key parts of our culture, helping us develop stronger teams and deliver better projects for our clients and communities.

CRA’s Bruce Burchfield, Jason Nye, and Kelsey Leed recently traveled to Indianapolis to visit the Citadel Metal headquarters for two days of hands-on collaboration with their team.

From touring the manufacturing facility and reviewing technical specifications and details to getting out in the shop and trying their hand at metal panel installation, the visit was an invaluable opportunity to take our work from the drawings into the field.

The collaboration helped us finalize the metal panel details and specifications we’ve been developing, with everything targeted for release to the firm in September.

A big thank you to the Citadel team for hosting us and sharing their expertise! 🤝🏗️
