✨Employee Spotlight: Jeremy Cunningham, Director of Maintenance and Repair

Jeremy joined inCon-trol Water Systems in 2012 at age 20 as a mechanical helper and worked his way up through hands-on experience and a strong work ethic. He advanced to Construction Foreman and Superintendent before becoming inCon-trol’s first Maintenance Technician, launching the role with the Dallas Children’s Garden at the Dallas Arboretum.

Since then, Jeremy has helped grow the maintenance department through client relationships, business development, and team leadership. He holds multiple water quality and safety certifications, including his Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) license, and currently serves as Acting Director of the Maintenance and Repair Department.

Favorite project: Tracking down and repairing a major leak at the Winspear Opera House (AT&T Performing Arts Center) in Dallas.

We appreciate the experience and leadership Jeremy brings to the team!

Friday Feature from the City of Melissa

We’re currently in construction on a new splash and play feature near the Liberty neighborhood, designed to create a safe, interactive space where families can gather and kids can explore water in a fun and engaging way.
Projects like this take a lot of coordination behind the scenes. From early design and hydraulic planning to structural installation and utility integration, every phase has to work together to make sure the final experience is seamless, durable, and easy for the City to maintain long term.

Our team at inCon-trol Water Systems led the design and is now bringing it to life in the field, working closely with an incredible project team to turn vision into reality.

Client: City of Melissa - Government
Landscape Architect: Westwood Professional Services
Water Feature Designer: inCon-trol Water Systems
General Contractor: Piazza Construction
Manufacturers: Whirlix Design Inc. and Aquatix by Landscape Structures Inc

We’re proud to help build spaces that bring communities together and give kids places to make core memories. More progress coming soon.

Two dudes in a garage.
That’s how inCon-trol started back in 2001.
Fast forward 25 years and what began as a small idea is now a team of engineers, designers, electricians, fabricators, and field crews building smart water solutions, pump systems, and water features across Texas.
Cheers to 25 years of growth and the people who made it happen.

Credit goes to… well, that depends who you ask.
Tech grad or the Aggie? 😏

No, but really — great job Troy and Juan, inCon-trol’s lead fabricators! 👏

❄️ Hard Freeze Alert: Feature Winterization

With freezing temperatures approaching, our Maintenance & Repair crews are actively winterizing water features across North Texas, and appointments are filling quickly.

Winterization is not one-size-fits-all. Each feature requires a custom approach, but proper freeze protection may include steps to help prevent:
*Cracked pumps and motors
*Freeze damage in shallow water areas
*Water expansion that can cause leaks or pipe bursts
*Costly repairs and downtime in the spring

What NOT to do:
🚫 Do not simply shut off controls or electrical power while leaving water in the feature. This can turn off your system heater and trapped water can freeze, expand, and cause significant system damage.

If you’re unsure how to protect your system—or want to get on our winterization schedule—call us and our team will walk you through the best approach for your specific feature.

Friday Feature: Maintenance & Water Quality Before & After

This lazy river was transformed from having a heavy algae problem and poor water clarity to clean, balanced water through proper maintenance and experienced water quality management.
The results reflect correct filter maintenance, balanced chemistry, consistent system maintenance, and the use of commercial pool and fountain vacuums with professional-grade equipment designed for large pools and water features, and being handled by the right team.
