What you don’t see 🧐 the staircase was perfectly plum, the concrete wall was not.
Tapered furring strips were attached to the concrete, then drywall to prevent moisture, and then the accent paneling.

I took on a dated flight of stairs for some super nice folks in Crystal Lake. I offered to just replace the stairs the way they were or to have one of my drywall craftsman fill the void for a cleaner look.

It made for another trip for me, but well worth it I think!

We started a basement finish last Saturday kicked off with the ceiling painted black, yesterday electric is going in, drywall starts this upcoming week!
