This bathroom is ready for shower and floor tile and then it’s time to put it back together!

We started the demo on this old bathroom this week. You can see a previous owner had one of those services like bath fitter or similar do a quick facelift at some point. Once we made a cut through the plastic tub liner dirty water came up through the saw cut which means the tub surround seal was compromised allowing water to get in between the layers. Also it’s interesting to see that the shower wall once had a window and was an exterior wall before an addition was added.

Here are the before and after pics of a somewhat difficult job we just completed. It was an old deck with a sunroom below it that had a very leaky roof which caused a lot of damage. We were somewhat limited on how to fix/rebuild it without tearing out the entire room and starting over with a proper roof and drainage system at a substantially higher cost. We tackled it and it now has a nice new ceiling and cedar decking installed and is ready to go!

Out with the old and in with the new. This one’s going to be really nice when we’re done!

We recently completed another roof replacement including building a new roof saddle to tie the sunroom roof to the main roof. The new architectural shingle in the gray color really looks sharp!

Some years back we built this beautiful new cedar deck. This past week we made it more maintenance free with Trex decking and a black aluminum railing system.
