Two years ago, we set out to create more than an internship. We created a pathway for students to launch their careers in construction.
What started with one intern has grown into a structured, semester-long program that partners with Texas A&M University, allowing students to earn academic credit while gaining real-world experience. Our interns work alongside project managers, superintendents and field teams, gaining hands-on experience in project management, field operations, quality control, safety and leadership.
One of the things we are most proud of is that the experience does not end when the semester does. Many of our interns continue working with us while finishing their degrees, and several have transitioned into full-time careers with D. Wilson Construction after graduation.
Developing future industry leaders is one of the best investments we can make. Thank you to our field leaders, project teams and mentors who invest their time in the next generation. Your leadership is making a lasting impact.
