We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Restoration Lead Technician!

Local Restoration specializes in Water, Fire, and Mold Restoration to Eastern North Carolina and surrounding areas.

Compensation:
This position offers competitive pay depending on experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform water/fire/smoke restoration & mold remediation services
- Identify the source of the problem & determine the extent of damages
- Removing & disposing of damaged materials
- Submitting documentation & pictures
- Inventory of damaged items
- Experience performing reconstruction projects (framing, drywall, painting, carpentry) is preferred

* Travel may be required for emergency disasters *

Mold is commonly thought of as a seasonal problem, but it’s a year-round problem.

1. Can mold grow in cold temperatures?
Each type of mold has a minimum and maximum temperature ranges for growth, unfortunately, the right temperature conditions for mold growth are also ideal for our comfort, and we tend to heat or cool our homes to stay within those parameters.

2. Does mold die in the winter?
Cold weather will not kill mold. Even when temperatures drop below freezing, mold spores don’t die.

3. Why does mold grow on windows in winter?
When the temperature drops during the winter, the warm air in your home comes into contact with the cool glass of your window panes, depositing water v***r and leading to moisture buildup around your windows.

4. Do mold allergies go away in winter?

Stay Warm ❄ Stay Safe
🔥 UL or ETL certified Electric heaters are safer to use indoors than propane or kerosene
🔥 Always plug the heater directly into the wall - never into an extension cord or a power strip
🔥 Just because the propane heater box says it's safe to use "indoors" does not mean it won't fill up a closed space with carbon monoxide!
🔥 Have your fireplace or woodstove chimney cleaned and inspected by a professional before your first burn. Always burn hardwoods, not pine
🔥 Use an electric blanket to warm up your bed but turn it off while you are sleeping
