Are you ready to build your new home?

Before you can build, you’ve got to clear the way! At River Valley Landscaping, we have the tools and equipment to help with the removal and proper disposal of unwanted structures and debris.

We recently tore out this mobile home, along with several outbuildings, trees, and some giant stumps- clearing the property and getting it ready for what comes next.

This summer has been brutally hot all season. The guys have worked extremely hard to construct this brand new amazing backyard.

In the back yard we we had a ton of runoff sweeping across the property along with a forrest of trees creating a mess of litter and drainage issues. We built this two tone seating wall to help reestablish the lower patio. The seating wall also allows us to create positive drainage to direct water to flow away and around the house. We have added lighting under the caps to expand the use of this new patio kitchen area into the night hours. We used a grey wall block and a charcoal cap to match our charcoal stairs.

In the front yard we removed several more trees shrubs opening up the front of this house. Reestablishing the new landscape beds with an ultra low maintenance planting plan.

With all these new grades and contours we had to also rebuild the entire irrigation system to meet the needs of our new oasis. This project was turned out amazing. We can’t wait to see how the continue to use their new outdoor living spaces.

Earlier this spring we got the opportunity to come help finish and clean up around this homes foundation. Part of this projected required cutting out the existing patio to install piers. We partnered with Wright Concrete Coatings to get this patio repaired and restored in its new epoxy finish. If you have any damaged or stained concrete you’d like fixed give us a call.

Why do people sand their yard?

There are many advantages to top dressing or applying a layer of sand across your property. One of the primary reasons people ask to have their lawns sanded is to smooth out or level their lawns to make it safer and easier to maintain. The sand is used to fill in the low spots in the lawn. This allows you to be able to mow without scalping the lawn.

Another reason people sand their lawns is to help improve drainage throughout the lawn. The water is able to drain through the sand and move off site much faster preventing puddles from forming.

Top dressing also helps with compaction as the sand allows space for the roots to grow. It can also help with breaking down thatch layers, or organic debris, sitting on top of the soil preventing growth.

It’s going to a hot one this week. We’ve got several projects going on that we are getting closer to completion with. All crews are out working hard creating beautiful outdoor living spaces that can even be enjoyed in the heat of the summer.

Are you be flooded during stormed from the water off your neighbors property? Foundations issues starting to arise because of water sitting around your house? Pre existing drains beginning to fail and not allow the water to completely drain away? We have you covered.

We took this project on when a couple giant Crape Myrtle trees a needed to be removed after the pre existing drains just couldn’t keep up. The drains had been clogged with roots from the trees and needed to be removed. We were able to come in and get the stumps and roots pulled out, removed the excess soil that was causing a dam for the water to be held back, re established a new flag stone walk way, installed a new and much larger catch basin to help catch storm rub off, and installed new French drain to carry the water safely off site. Now when it rains any storm water coming down into this property is drained away in minutes instead of days. Let us help you fix your drainage issues.
