As pipes age, rust and mineral deposits accumulate, contaminating your water supply. Addressing these signs early can prevent more significant problems and ensure your family's well-being in Simpsonville.

Achieving peak efficiency from your air conditioning system involves precise adjustments and evaluations. During a maintenance visit, technicians don't just clean; they also optimize performance.

A critical step is accurately measuring refrigerant levels. Both low and high refrigerant levels can severely impact your AC's efficiency and shorten the lifespan of its components. Ensuring these levels are correct is key to consistent, reliable cooling.

Your garbage disposal is a powerful tool, but it is not invincible. Knowing what NOT to put down it is crucial for preventing costly plumbing problems.

Steer clear of pouring grease, oil, or cooking fat down the drain, as these substances solidify and create serious clogs. Instead pout your used grease and oil into a container to toss.

Also, avoid fibrous foods such as celery stalks, artichokes, or corn husks, which can tangle around the impellers and jam the motor. Protecting your disposal from these items will keep your kitchen running smoothly.

A well-maintained garbage disposal makes kitchen cleanup much easier. One simple habit can significantly extend its life and prevent clogs: the cold water rule. Always run cold water before, during, and for 30 seconds after using your disposal. This essential practice helps flush food particles through the system and keeps grease solid so it can be safely pushed out of your pipes.

Please note: It is imperative to avoid grease and oil from going down your pipes as much as possible!

With the upcoming winter weather and low temperatures it is very crucial to be prepared as a home owner. Open all cabinet doors where plumbing is, open hot and cold water on faucets to a drip. With temperatures possibly reaching single digits a single faucet with just a slight drip on the cold water side will not be sufficient. If your water heater is in a non climate controlled space it is very crucial to have it insulated properly. If you have a tankless water heater with a recirculating pump we recommend setting pump for constant circulation during this cold snap. Make sure all outside hosebibs have adequate covers, and if able please turn the valves off and drain prior to adding covers. Following these few tips will greatly increase your chances of preventing a frozen or busted pipe, however in the invent of any breaks or busts please reach out to us. We would love to help!
