What we want you to know about French drains:
🇫🇷 First, none of these are French drains. These are different kinds of "open systems", which allow all water and debris to enter and are easy to clean out.

🇫🇷 A French drain is a semi-open system that allows water to enter at a slower rate, but keeps the debris out.

🇫🇷 French drains are usually covered with permeable soil grass and even rocks.

🇫🇷 The answer to standing water in your yard is NOT always a French drain. There's lots of crucial factors to consider when trying to solve a yard drainage issue and as ✨fancy✨ as a French drain sounds, it might not solve the problem.
