rms. In 1996, principals Dan Eriksson and Kevin Wilcox joined the founding partners in leadership, extending their contributions to the firm's advancing capabilities. From small tenant improvements to large, multiple building complexes, CJA continues a service orientation whereby clients benefit from thorough analysis and proven skill. CJA services clientele within the public and private sectors throughout the region, in remodeling and conversion as well as new construction. The firm performs all phases of architectural design, including programming, space planning, interiors, master planning, project management, building design, and entitlement processing. Projects include technology, bioscience and R&D facilities, office buildings, industrial, distribution and manufacturing facilities, retail centers, business parks, multi-family housing, and church and private school facilities. At CJA, we appreciate the process under which each organization operates and we design according to those individual needs. Whether it's one basic program or an intense programmatic challenge with numerous divisions, we adapt to each with a wide array of clients and end users. A little doom, a lot of teamwork, and a whole lot of fun!
Two CJA teams locked in tiny dark rooms for one hour. One team deciphered cryptic symbols and secret codes to barely avoid being trapped forever. The other team discovered hidden clues and strategized tricky navigation to recover stolen treasure. Suspense, strategy, and adrenaline – emerging into a night of dinner, laughter, and great company! On January 2nd, we celebrated Founders’ Day — CJA’s 44th anniversary! We were especially honored to have our Founder, Duane Johnson, join us for the occasion. Duane remains active in our industry and continues to share valuable wisdom and forward-thinking insights on today’s business landscape and what lies ahead.

Our founders, Don Comstock and Duane Johnson, believed that success should be measured not only by growth, but by integrity. They built this organization with courage, humility, and an unwavering belief in people. Last Thursday marked the 21st Anniversary of the WE CARE event at the Boys and Girls Club of Sacramento - a wonderful tradition where CJA and other creative firms set up craft booths so children can make Christmas gifts for their loved ones. CJA has proudly participated for at least 16 years - a big thanks to the entire CJA team who were able to be a part of it! It was a great turnout this year and the kids always seem to really enjoy it. Merry Christmas everyone!
