As we head towards fall, it’s a great time for replacing bushes, pruning tree and hedges. It’s also time to schedule your aeration and dethatching now to help build back your lawn for spring.
Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water & nutrients to pe*****te the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply & produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn.
Dethatching lawns refer to the mechanical removal from a lawn of the layer of dead turfgrass tissue known as “thatch.” This residue is bad for your grass, as it keeps water & nutrients from seeping down to the grass roots.
