Laux Construction was proud to be represented at Women Build Week with Habitat for Humanity Capital Region.

Our Marketing Specialist, Tiffany Bell, joined the L.O.G.I.C. crew through ABC Greater Michigan Chapter, working alongside other women in the industry to set scaffolding, raise walls, install double top plates, and help set trusses.

And after a day in the field, Tiffany has a whole new appreciation for our Laux field crews and the physical work they put in day after day — turns out, marketing muscles and construction muscles are NOT the same thing! 😂💪🏼

With more than 100 women volunteering throughout the week, two future homes went from concrete slabs to framed structures in just a matter of days!

We’re proud to support the women of our industry while helping build something even bigger for our community. ❤️

It’s officially back-to-school season, and we couldn’t let the kids have all the fun.

Please join me in wishing Chais a great first day of 17th grade as he heads into his final year at MSU! 🥹

His lunch is packed (peanut butter sandwich, obviously), his five energy drinks are ready, and he’s one year closer to finally achieving his dream of becoming a construction worker.

We are just so proud of how much our little guy has grown. 😂

🧱 🪟 Tremendous progress is being made at Wexford Montessori Academy in the Lansing School District!

The new addition is really taking shape as glass windows and doors are installed and masonry work continues to transform the walls of this school.

Laux Construction recently completed first-floor renovations at the Richard H. Austin Building in Downtown Lansing, a key part of Michigan's Capitol Complex. The building supports essential state government operations, including elections, official state records and public services. These renovations help modernize a space that severs both State of Michigan employees and the public.

❄️ Did you know some of the sidewalks in Downtown Lansing are heated to help melt snow during our cold Michigan winters?

As part of the ongoing Capitol Infrastructure Upgrade, Laux Construction continues work outside of the Michigan House of Representatives Building.

This project is helping bring historic state buildings into the 21st century through a transition to more sustainable geothermal heating and cooling. The system circulates non-toxic glycol to take advantage of consistent below-ground temperatures, providing an efficient source of heating and cooling while also supporting the snowmelt system for surrounding walkways.

It’s a unique project happening right in the heart of our capital city, and one that will help keep Michigan’s historic Capitol complex operating efficiently for years to come.
