Here’s an update on the extensive rot repairs we shared last week.

Once the damaged siding and sheathing were removed, our crew was able to see the full extent of the deterioration. We removed the compromised material and rebuilt the affected sections with new structural framing and sheathing. The exterior has now been wrapped with a new weather-resistant barrier and is ready for the next phase of the project.

There is still work ahead, but the home is already in a much better position than when we started. This is why addressing water intrusion correctly matters—it’s not enough to cover the damage. You have to find it, remove it and rebuild it properly.

More updates to come as we put this home back together.
