Bill Broughton Trucking and Excavating, LLC is currently looking for a full time Class A CDL Driver.

Job Description:
- Hauling equipment and other cargo to and from jobsites
- Hauling Sand, Lime, and other Aggregates for Stock hauls.
- Driver is expected to keep the exterior and interior of the truck clean ( All cleaning supplies will be provided by the company, as well as a monthly cleaning bonus)
- Home every evening (M-F), there is a possibility of needing to stay late on occasion due to needing to complete jobs while in dry weather. Saturdays work is a possibility but we always give as much heads up as possible, its normally a volunteer basis.
-Must have a clean MVR and pre hire drug screen that we will reimburse you for once hired.
-Hourly pay based on experience

At Bill Broughton Trucking and Excavating, we’re kicking off the New Year by introducing something new. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be spotlighting specific services we proudly provide throughout Clark, Floyd, Scott, Harrison, Washington, Jackson, Crawford, and Jefferson Counties.

Today’s Spotlight: Our Heavy Equipment Moving Division

This division specializes in transporting a wide range of general construction equipment, including skid steers, dozers, excavators, high lifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, tractors, rollers and sheepsfoot rollers, small crushers, backhoe loaders, and paving equipment.

Our services don’t stop there. We also haul specialized freight such as steel rebar, poly tanks, IBC totes, straw, sod, concrete retaining blocks, and most palletized items.

As we wind down 2025 it was a year of celebrating 70 years in business. And it
was a little different from past years. We experienced nice growth. Which led to adding more trucks and experienced drivers to the crew ensuring timely delivery and continued excellent service. Our excavation work also had some significant growth.
In early spring I had to take some unexpected time off from work after major neck surgery. Which brought on extra responsibilities and a new roles for some members of the business. Our son Mason had to take on more of a leadership role, scheduling and dispatching the trucks. Although it was thrown at him unexpectedly, he has excelled in his new role keeping a more organized system which was desperately needed. In our expansion and my down time healing my wife Tonya, along with her own professional career (took on her 3rd job) managing the office and daily invoicing. Which has been so appreciated ! Being down helped me realize a few things, although difficult to accept at first. I couldn’t do everything myself anymore.
And what I thought was going to cause major issues was actually a blessing in disguise. God’s timing, like always was perfect.
Looking ahead to 2026 we want to continue to follow Gods plan for our family business. Keeping him first and
continuing to better serve our customers and community. We want to thank everyone who has supported us in the past and we want to add more valued customers in 2026 !

Thank you to everyone who has supported our company over the years.

Had a great time at our annual Christmas dinner. We have grown so much over the past few years. Our company started as one man (my dad) with a side job after working at the ICI plant all day, back in 1955. I started working for my dad before I could even drive, putting in septics and doing some backhoe work. The company became mine, once I graduated high school in 1984. Years later, both of my children started doing side work with me after school and throughout the summer, putting in pools, grade work, or simply putting up hundreds of bales of straw for future work. Today, we are still considered a small business but so proud of our team. We couldn’t have gotten where we are, or do what we do everyday, without these guys (and their amazing wives, and support systems at home)! I’m proud of these guys and appreciate how they represent the company everyday while out there in the community. Next year will mark 70 years for Bill Broughton Trucking and Excavating! Thank you Tonya, Billie, Mason, Josh, Robbie, Ted, Tim, Doc, Austin, Eddie, and Holden!
