For those who have built or bought recently — what’s one thing you wish someone would’ve told you beforehand? Interior or exterior. Something you’d add, skip, spend more on, pay closer attention to, or do completely differently?

Y’all, meet Ted and Mark. 😂 They both love football. They both have friends. But only ONE of them has the house everybody wants to hang out at.

Ted watches the game inside on the couch. Every Saturday he texts the group chat: “Game at my house?” Nobody answers. Ted ends up eating 14 wings alone. Poor Ted. 😂

Mark had the same problem… so Mark did something about it. He took advantage of our 0% financing for 24 months and built the setup he actually wanted—covered outdoor living area, big TV, patio, grill, the whole deal.

Now Mark texts: “Game at my house?” and 20 minutes later the driveway is full, the grill is going, coolers are open, kids are playing outside and everybody’s asking what time the next game starts.

Mark’s house became THE house. Mark is basically the neighborhood superhero. 😂🏈

Be more like Mark.

And seriously… after complaining about the heat ALL SUMMER, y’all are really gonna spend the first nice fall Saturday watching football INSIDE?? Lame. 😂🍂

😒 Matt Told Me to Make This Post… So Here We Are.

Well, it’s that time of year again. It cooled off outside and Matt has decided we’re apparently too ✨“streamlined”✨ now and he “wants his brain & hands to be challenged.”

Ummmm… yeah. So here we are.

I mean, he IS pretty dang good at that kinda stuff. I’ll give him that. But ya know… I thought the whole point of building a company was to perfect your craft, build systems, train a great team and get really efficient at the things you do every day.

Apparently I misunderstood. 😂

He wants to “get back to his roots” and do some cool custom concrete & custom stonework again.

According to Matt, he’s also way too picky to let his “baby” — talking about custom work, HIS WORDS NOT MINE — be placed in the hands of our already highly skilled, professional & hardworking team members.

So basically… Matt wants to personally do these.

Custom concrete. Custom stonework. Stamped concrete. Fire pits. Custom patios. Weird ideas. Stuff you’ve had saved on Pinterest for three years. Basically something complicated enough that he can disappear outside, move the same rock 14 times because “it doesn’t look right,” and come back happy with himself.

And if you’ve missed having Matt personally on your project, well congratulations. Here’s your chance to get some ✨one-on-one time✨ with him.

Which apparently some of y’all are REALLY into.

Kinda weird tbh.

Almost cult-ish.

But I’m just the office guy, what do I know. 🤷‍♂️😂

Anyway… enjoy it while it lasts, because eventually he’s going to remember he really can’t spend all day ✨making rocks look pretty✨ when he has roughly 500 other things he’s supposed to be doing on a daily basis.

He says he’ll “make it work.”

And if you know Matt, you already know that man will somehow figure out how to make just about anything work. 😂

HOWEVER — I’m stepping in here.

🚨 5 PROJECTS. THAT’S IT. 🚨

Not “5 and maybe a couple more.”

Not “well, they already called.”

Not “this one is gonna be really cool though.”

Your deck should be built right before you ever have to think about the details.
When you invest in a new deck, you shouldn’t have to ask whether the handrails will be smooth or whether the framing is being protected from moisture. Those things should already be part of a properly finished build.
Your handrails should be sanded smooth and comfortable to use. Your floor joists should be protected with joist flashing tape before the decking goes down, helping keep water from sitting directly against the framing around fasteners and between boards.
From there, the finished look is yours. Some homeowners prefer a traditional deck layout, while others like the cleaner, more defined appearance of a picture-frame border. We can build around the look that fits your home and your taste.
Good materials, solid framing, clean cuts, and attention to the parts you’ll actually see and touch shouldn’t be considered extras.
That’s just how a deck should be built. Don't settle for a half-finished deck with minimum standards being sold as upgrades. Give us a call today!

Meanwhile, the water is still standing, the dirt still needs moved, and that concrete project still isn’t getting done.
