Hey folks. My drone is still on the other side of the country for maintenance so a HUGE shout out to a good friend of mine, Roger Gurley, for taking the time to get his bird in the air to capture these amazing photos of what's going on at the JBG. First thing you'll notice if you've been through here in the last few days is there are now two red cranes. One on the bulkhead getting ready to be loaded on a barge, and the other top side working from a higher elevation. Next, for all you rule breakers. If buoys marked "No Wake. Idle Speed Only" and "DO NOT ENTER" wasn't enough to slow you down, there is now a barge sitting dead center of the lake under the second arch from the east. I'm not trying to be a jerk here but I'm simply pointing out that the buoys are a liability protection for the engineering group. You can't say you weren't warned when something falls off that bridge and lands on your watercraft, your dog, or even a loved one. Please pay attention to you surroundings and be safe. They aren't going away just because you can't read or follow rules. I drove out today and watched for a bit. These guys have a large saw cutting the bridge in multiple areas. I have a feeling we will start seeing pieces moving quickly in the near future. Keep your eyes up (if you're in the lake) and stay tuned to A Different Perspective for all the latest happenings on the bridge, the lake, and the highway. ~ Michael
