At Alpha Omega Utility Services, safety is more than a priority. It is a commitment we make every day on every job. Take a moment to pause, stay alert, and look out for yourself and your crew.

It's WEEK THREE of National Safety Month and this week it's all about promoting overall worker health.

Your brain is powerful, but it also loves shortcuts.

That is why habits can become dangerous.

We learn to drive focused, but eventually we are eating, changing the radio, checking the phone, and doing everything but driving. The brain tells us we are saving energy, but the risk is real.

The same is true at work.

During National Safety Month, we are reminding crews and training our students to put the brain in check. Slow down. Stay aware. Do not let routine become the reason someone gets hurt.

Today we had the chance to host Drew Batty, with Buckingham Manufacturing, and Lansing Community College, adding to the list of stakeholders committed to safety for our linemen. We continue to build our students awareness and readiness in the industry.

Drew’s story of grit and the impact of being a linemen has had on his life is one that encouraged a number of our students. Grateful for his leadership in this space!
