What started as a cracked shower pan replacement uncovered a much bigger problem — no waterproofing behind the existing tile.

What was supposed to be a simple replacement turned into a complete shower rebuild.

From demolition and structural repairs to proper waterproofing, custom tilework, recessed niches, and frameless glass, this shower was rebuilt from the ground up with attention to every detail.

A solid shower starts with a well-built curb. Framed it, squared it up, and got it ready for the next steps.

The original shower had an 18” × 18” niche.

Since we were already rebuilding the entire shower, it made sense to enlarge it—creating more usable storage while turning it into a major part of the finished design.

The new custom niche was framed around the tile layout, fully waterproofed, and finished with a centered herringbone pattern and staggered shelves.

Built from scratch. Finished exactly as planned.

A custom niche is one of those details that looks simple when it’s finished.

Getting there is a different story.

Layout, pattern alignment, cuts, shelf placement and keeping everything centered as the design comes together — this one was planned down to the details.

Full shower rebuild. 👊

What started as a cracked drain uncovered a much bigger problem — a shower built with no waterproofing system behind the tile, along with water-damaged framing and subfloor.

We took it back to the framing and rebuilt it properly from the ground up: new framing and subfloor repairs, shower pan, complete waterproofing system, custom tile layout, chevron accent wall, built-in niche with staggered shelving, matte black finishes, and frameless glass.

A lot of planning, precision, and detail went into this one — especially the work you’ll never see behind the finished tile.
