We didn’t get good before pictures of this one but this yard hasn’t seen mulch in years. We gave it a fresh layer of mulch as well as an affordable solution to a hole in the fence after a poor stump grinding job.

Before & After Techo Bloc Transformation

This project completely reimagined the home’s front entrance, replacing an aging concrete walkway and a failing step with a custom Techo-Bloc hardscape built to last.

The new design features:
- Victorien pavers accented with an Onyx Black border
- Raffinato wall block steps finished with Onyx Black wall caps
- Root removal to prepare the property for new sod installation and a healthier lawn

You’ll also see some of our original design renderings included in the photos. While they helped guide the vision, the finished project was refined even further during construction, resulting in an even better final product.

Please note: These photos were taken before the polymeric sand was installed and before the final front entry carpentry was completed.

We love taking outdated, failing hardscapes and turning them into beautiful, functional spaces that enhance both curb appeal and long-term value.

A special thanks to A & S Landscape Management for assisting with the planning, providing ongoing advise and troubleshooting and a site visit including some sledgehammering!

Another special thanks to HydroDefense Basement Waterproofing & Construction for providing labor and machinery for the concrete removal, laying of the base stone and ground prep for sod!

And thank you to our supplier Staffa Stone Marlton Location for supplying all the materials and assisting with accurate quantities.

Another backyard transformation completed! 🌿

This project brought together several elements to create a more functional and polished outdoor space. We designed the new pool deck to complement the property, partnered withHydroDefense Basement Waterproofing & Construction for its construction, then completed the finishing touches that tied everything together.

Our work included:
• Delaware River rock installation around the pool
• Final grading for proper drainage and a smooth finish
• Overseeding to establish a healthy, lush lawn

Great projects are all about planning, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. We’re proud to help bring our clients’ vision to life by managing every phase of the project and working with skilled trade partners when needed.

If you’re thinking about upgrading your outdoor space, we’d love to help make it happen.

💰 The Cheapest Price Is Not Always the Best Option 💰

We were recently called out to look at this stump grinding job after another company completed the work.

The result?
A damaged fence, incomplete cleanup, and a customer left frustrated paying to fix problems that should have never happened in the first place.

We understand everyone wants to save money, but when it comes to property work, experience, attention to detail, and proper equipment matter. A low price can quickly become expensive when repairs and rework are involved.

At Distinct Surroundings, we take pride in doing the job carefully, professionally, and with respect for your property from start to finish.

If you are comparing quotes this season, make sure you are comparing more than just the number at the bottom.

May the Fourth be with your lawn… or whatever is left of it !

Even the Empire knows when it’s time to clean things up. Meanwhile some of you are out here letting your yard fall completely to the dark side.

If your grass is overgrown, edges are gone, and weeds are taking over… it’s time.

We don’t just show up and cut it. We bring properties back to life and keep them looking right all season.

Spots are almost gone! Don’t be the house everyone notices for the wrong reasons.

Friendly reminder from your lawn crew: our mowers love grass… not anything else.

As we head into the next stretch of the season, please make sure yards are cleared before your service day.

Nobody wants a “surprise” getting spread across the lawn.

It keeps things clean, efficient, and a whole lot less eventful.

Thank you!
