Looking back over 42 years & over 10,000 installs one job that stands out would be cutting holes in both perimeter fences at the Marion Federal Prison. This was a top secret contract I was to tell no one.No body including the guards had any idea this was going down. I was to cut a12 foot opening in the main outside perimeter fence. Install 2 - 22 foot heavy duty gate post using fast setting cement. While that was setting up cut a 12 foot opening in the inside perimeter fence & do the same.Once that was completed I was to install 12 foot wide by 18 foot tall double gates,reattach the wire & the many strands of razor wire. Keep in mind this is the prison that replaced Alcatraz .The most dangerous men in the United States are housed here including John Gotti & ex leaders of small countries. 20 minutes before starting time in flies over 20 federal marshalls & Navy seals all packing machine guns & guided missle bazokas. I tried to act unimpressed asking the one closest to me jokingly wheres the apache hellicopter. Its 3 minutes away at the county airport he said never looking at me. 15 minutes later my one & only laborer slipped off the ladder & fell into the razor wire. Luckly we got him out but he needed a few stiches. Now im there all alone.I cant call someone else because it takes 10 days for background check clearence. I also signed a paper comitting myself as the property of the US prison. I was NOT allowed to leave the property until the job was finished. The reason it was top secret was if the public knew we were cutting holes in the nations most dangerous prison CNN & every other TV news would be here.The main reason it was top secret was Its a Great DAY for a prison break including the MOB & armies of small countries. I remember the weird feeling when i cut open the second perimeter fence. One navy seal radioed The gates of Hell are opened. It was as they said the first time the inmates have seen daylight since being transfered.Soon as i cut open the 2nd fence it came a sudden extream sleet storm. 18 hours later with absolutly NO HELP I pulled my truck & trailor out of there NOT before I burried it to the axles in the middle of the excersise yard. Adding a prison break this would make a great movie.Of course Brad Pitt would have to play me.
