We got the pleasure of working with a customer that loves Halloween! Who else enjoy the spookiest holiday of the year? It may be a little early, but this was too good not to post about it!

We had a customer that was getting an HC error on their Samsung dryer.
Below is what we found related to this error. What you can see is a part called a thermistor. This tells the dryer how to manage the heat for your laundry.

A thermistor that's in good condition should read roughly 10 ohms. As you can see in 1 picture, there is a good one, and a bad one. Even with new parts, we like to check and make sure the new part is within the specifications required so we are not putting in a new part that is faulty right out of the box.

Most HC errors will be caused by this part, but there are other parts in a dryer that can cause this as well.

Stay educated! This customer was happy with the experience and knowledge, that she even left us a review on Google!

It's your appliance, so we take the time to go over repairs so that customers understand what happened, and will be educated on possible ways to prevent a repeat issue if possible. While we enjoy working with our customers, we try to keep them from having to see us frequently! 😁

Attention!

Regularly cleaning your lint trap is one of the easiest ways to keep your dryer in peak working condition. Most lint filters will clearly state to clean after each cycle and it's very important to do so.

This one slipped through the cracks 😅

Surprisingly, it was still heating but the heating performance was greatly reduced.

Clogged lint screens can lead to multiple cycles needing to be ran to dry a load of clothes, loss of heat or even the possibilty of your dryer not starting. You may also notice alot of moisture inside of your dryer after the cycle is complete since the moisture has no way to escape.

Even if you clean your lint screen in between every cycle, some of the smaller lint particles get through the screen and accumulate over time inside your dryer.

Here we have another dryer issue!
If your dryer won't start, it could be a few things. In this case, it was the rollers that help the drum rotate. These should free spin. As you can see in the video, these didn't pass. All 4 were like this, WOW!

We got this dryer back up and running, all thanks to B&K!

If you own a LG fridge, and it has an error code that comes up, and not sure what it is, here is an example of one.
E FF- this is a Freezer Fan Error.
This is caused when the main control board does not pick up an rpm signal from the fan.

Fans in newer machines should free spin like a skateboard wheel. In the video below, that's not the case. It's an easy repair, but with some, you can only get the whole grille assembly to fix this.
This does increase the cost of repair, but thankfully most replacements have been upgraded to better motors.

When it comes to dryers, make sure to keep your duct work clean!

This customer was having issues with their dryer not drying their clothes. This was just the duct from the dryer to their wall hook up. EW!

We recommend replacing these sections with new, and having the wall pipes professionally cleaned every so often. And when the seasons change, take a moment to inspect your outside vent for proper flow. Birds and other critters love dryer vent pipes!

This customer had an issue with a Whirlpool fridge that was not good.
They had a slight water leak that ended up causing extensive damage to their flooring.

There is a design flaw with some of these French style fridges. Their water tank reservoir can't withstand household water pressure. Eventually it starts to leak, and if not caught fast enough, you may end up with this customer's issue.

Address all water leaks sooner than later!
